Vinings Gallery's Sassy Sister
You are probably already familiar with Vinings Gallery in Historic Roswell. It's a fabulous high end gallery that opened in Roswell in December of 2014. It's success bringing nationally recognized and emerging artists has led to the opening of a second gallery on Canton Street. It is aptly named Vinings on Canton, but its nickname "The Sassy Sister" refers to the fact that while the original gallery is more traditional, Vinings on Canton is thoroughly contemporary. Also, it will feature art exhibitions like the one my family and I attended in which Pamela Sukhum created one of her paintings. It was so mesmerizing that even my eleven year old son never looked away while she was working.
Vinings on Canton's Gallery Director, Liza Rawls, Is planning The Sassy Sister's grand opening the weekend of Friday, September 16. The celebration will begin on Thursday, September 15th and last all weekend. Several of the gallery's new artists will be there too. Gloria Lee, Fabio Napoleoni, John-Mark Gleadow, Chad Awalt and Zheng Li have already confirmed that they will be there.
